Description:	As India’s favourite alcohol, how do you change rum’s age-old reputation of a cheap, quick drink and imbibe a taste for quality over quantity? Presenting Maka Zai, a craft rum from Stilldistilling Spirits. Konkani for ‘I want’, its design comes from its narrative – the journey towards perfection – and focuses on craft and detail in every element. For starters, the Olive Ridley Turtle. Known for travelling perilous, lengthy journeys, its spirit was akin to the brand’s philosophy, making it the perfect mascot. The palettes intended to give people a taste of both rums. Blue and green to reflect the white rum’s lightness. And coral, green and gold foil printing to amplify the gold rum’s opulence. Additionally, Maka Zai’s Devanagari initials were peppered across both labels and caps to accentuate the brand’s Indian spirit. That, and a clean monogram on the back of the bottle.
