| Description: | Sometimes it’s a little project, that you never dreamt would encounter water seepage and a pandemic – that emerges out of its chrysalis to become a delightful butterfly. The challenge of Retail is to be the backdrop for the product but also be the protagonist- everyone loves a great store- but will it showcase the product or shout it down. The retail store for Forest Of Chintz is the first of the stores that the brand launches in India. In an area of 800 square feet rises a series of monolithic displays, that emerge from the floor and blend into the walls, all designed ergonomically and for a unique customer experience. The ins and outs in the stepped display form alcoves for the customer to engage with the products at an intimate scale while experiencing the contrasting scale of the space itself. The highlight of this project is the display, that facilitates maximum visibility of products and flexibility in terms of merchandising, coupled with hints of the 'forest' experience through the central pendants. The space celebrates the merchandise by being the perfect understated, yet bold backdrop for the sharp, edgy and colourful products to pop. |
