Description: The contemporary workplace is in a continual state of flux. Workspaces today are expected to reinforce the company culture through their planning and design vocabulary to instill a sense of belonging and well-being, promote innovation, and cross-disciplinary exchange of ideas. The corporate offices for Trilegal are designed to engender these ideas through strategic planning, a timeless material palette, and the superimposition of contemporized expressions of traditional craft forms.
Known to be one of the country’s leading law firms, Trilegal’s project brief for the interiors of their new office space called for creating a distinct brand identity, representative of their nationwide presence and embodying their future-forward vision yet inherent rootedness in traditional Indian values. In addition, the brief stipulated breaking free from the conventional hierarchical organization structure to encourage co-creation and innovation.
The offices occupy the entire first floor of a commercial tower in the corporate heart of Gurugram. A passageway from the elevator bank leads to the reception and waiting area, with a central communal space anchoring the scheme, referred to as the “town hall”. Spread across 19,000 sq.ft., the layout is split into two zones on either side of the central lobby and is designed keeping in mind concerns of privacy while promoting collaboration and optimizing workflows.
The Trilegal office is a nod to how craft expressions can be incorporated in the design vocabulary to create a unique yet compelling brand identity.
