‘Prime Day’ is Amazon’s flagship annual sale. As part of the Prime Day 2020 extravaganza, the team at Prime Video India was looking to launch a series of stand-up comedy shorts on their service. Our approach was to live in the Amazon Funnies brandspace, while integrating 'Prime Day' design elements from the mainline campaign into it. The design-focused approach allowed us to visualize the look of the campaign for the promos as well as across social media, while maintaining the brand equity for both Amazon Funnies & the Prime Day 2020 branding. Our motion design approach stayed rooted in the Amazon Funnies Brand Voice and allowed us to use quirky movements & elements in our visual-storytelling process. The typography animations were also kept simple - with a focus on using linear positional movements and colour switches to highlight keywords to command the viewer’s attention clearly towards the promo messaging. |
