Description: Society Tea is a regional player in India. Though it enjoys a huge 40% market share in Mumbai and between 8-10% market share in other cities in the state, the intent going forward is to gain a national foothold. The brief was to create a Brand Campaign that will have a national appeal.
In our research we found that their customers who have relocated outside the state still find a way to get their Society Tea packs. When the brand has such equity, we wanted to ride on that.
All we did was flip the brand name. Society Tea becomes Tea Society. That’s what India is - a tea-drinking nation. Across the length and breadth of this vast country, people have various ways of having their tea. We wanted to somehow capture the tea moments in a realistic and nuanced way. Like a photo essay.
