| Description: | Breathing life into the existing by outlining surface edges gives the spaces a sharp and crisp impression. he design approach has been mindful and sensitive to honour and preserve the existing structure, striving to minimise damage to the existing walls. The design approach ensures no intrusive interventions are used, maintaining the integrity of the built heritage. Bright shades are strategically used in the work areas to add a sense of intrigue and vibrancy. These colors not only bring the space to life but also highlight cornice details and roofing elements, celebrating the historical information. Subtle additions, such as ornamental paintings or patterns in corridors, add character to the space, reminiscent of the heritage, while strictly modern in approach. The lighting optimises a plug-and-play system, traversing through spaces without a need for conduits or drilling interventions. It acts as a piece of installation, respecting the building’s structural integrity. Completed in a record 25 days, this project is a testament to the studio’s commitment to purposeful design, efficient execution, and, most importantly, the emphasis on reusing space as a sustainable way forward. |
