Description:	In 2023, the Alli Serona Collective, in collaboration with Bengawalk and the Association for Promoting Social Action (APSA), conducted community walking audits to survey and understand the mobility challenges faced by women in Bengaluru's informal workforce. Over 200 women from nine informal and resettlement colonies participated, revealing a critical issue: the absence of functional bus stops. This gap not only jeopardised their safety but also severely limited their access to essential services. In response, the Alli Serona Collective created a bus stop art installation, which served as both an artistic expression and a powerful advocacy tool. Co-designed with women from the informal workforce, the installation symbolised their collective demand for reliable public transportation infrastructure. From October to November 2023, the mobile installation toured four locations identified as urgently needing a bus stop. At the heart of the installation was an interactive chair designed to gather votes and build support for the cause. The initiative successfully engaged decision-makers, media, and the broader community, underscoring the urgent need for equitable public transportation.
