| Description: | Birla Opus, a new entrant in the paint sector in India aimed to create a splash using colours and keeping the customer at the centre of every interaction. One such interaction is manifested using a screen on the façade of their paint studio, reacting to the customers and the local environment. As customers walk in, the system greets them by matching with the colours of their attire. Customers can also interact with the visuals through hand gestures that swirl and mix the paint on the screen. A storefront that expresses ‘What the City is Feeling’ using colours. In the idle state, the system takes in real time local data such as time of day, temperature, precipitation etc. which is reflected using the Birla Opus paint shades. For example, the screen displays warmer colour paints on a hot summer afternoon and cooler blues on a cold winter evening. Special overlays are also triggered by weather conditions - like droplets when it's raining and smoke when it is hazy. A public facing, dynamic system that ties in the brands product to visiting customers. |
