Description:	Postcard was envisioned as a dynamic bar and restaurant space catering to IT professionals. The need for a functional kitchen, performance stage, bar, a space large enough to host corporate parties, required the design to adapt itself to the occasions. Seamless movement within the space is enabled through sliding doors. The central bar anchors the verandas, performance stage, and seats.together, allowing the dining zone, and live kitchen to adapt into an indoor, outdoor or semi-open space as required. The design modernises cultural references into functional elements. Ikat fabric patterns are translated into Basalt stone and copper accents, while Islamic architectural eaves have inspired the bar ceiling with LED lighting that syncs with the music. A cohesive look is achieved through green-coloured micro-topping on the floor and a dark veneered ceiling. The design reinforces its commitment to sustainability through locally sourced materials that require minimal maintenance.Natural veneers and metal handicrafts allow traditional craftsmanship to shine through, thereby promoting sustainability within budgetary constraints. Through a thoughtful integration of flexible spatial arrangement, cultural elements, local craftsmanship and sustainable features, the project creates a visual lexicon that feels like a postcard for its users.
