Description: Office Design and culture has constantly evolved from the early Roman offices, to Taylorist offices, action offices and now to the open plan casual offices of the early 21st century. In the ever-evolving realm of contemporary office design, ‘A Square Peg in a Round Hole,’ tries to redefine workspace design for the Post-Covid world by prioritizing holistic well-being and efficiency. Located in the bustling city of Ahmedabad, this 500-square-meter workspace transcends traditional office environments and has been designed integrating detailed study of behavioural psychology, cultural traditions, design principles, and ergonomic studies to for this Post-Covid world. Natural light floods the office space, complemented by seamless concrete flooring, the tones of terracotta, blue, yellow and sage green define zones within the office space imparting a subtle sense of hierarchy. The project's name ‘A Square Peg in a Round Hole’ itself embodies a commitment to break away from conventional norms. It rejects the standardised modular workstations and uniform layouts, embracing a Vastu (a part of client brief for spiritual wellbeing and productivity) compliant setup where each work desk faces north or east, alongside customised workstations and tailored lighting solutions to create a dynamic, inclusive and collaborative work environment.
