Description:	The adaptive reuse of a storage unit for a cladding manufacturer. A space replete with claddings of diverse textures and colours, instead of stripping it away, the team chose to merge the old with the new. The objective was to not just design a functional space but also narrate a story of fabric. The the task of fabric selection was given paramount importance. By crafting a distinctive spatial encounter within an existing building, using the playful rigging display system, thereby giving the fabric store an strong identity. At the heart of the design is "The Ribbon," a continuous steel rod suspended from the ceiling, serving as both a functional hanger for fabrics and a dynamic design statement. This multifunctional device folds around beams, creating an illusion of height while supporting up to 300kg. Integrated spotlights highlight the fabrics, making the store a living gallery of textures.The Ribbon also leads visitors on a curated journey through the store, connecting to a reception table that echoes the drape and flow of fabric. Every element, has been meticulously crafted and mindfully added to create a narrative that resonates with the brand's identity and user experience guided by principles of adaptive reuse.
