Description: | This exhibition is inspired by 'Bhakti', immersion in the myriad forms of love and devotion. At its heart is recognition of a shared need for harmony that's both universal and personal. Over a month, more than 15,000 people visited this four-level 12,000 sqft gallery space for a transformative journey through Krishna's life and legacy, presented through richly-themed scenography. Genesis: Adventures of young Krishna. We experience Krishna's miraculous escape, loving bond with Yashoda, playful childhood, and youthful relationships. Scenic details like cows, birds, and foliage animate the space. Sounds of nature transitioning to music enliven rich colourscapes – deep blues, vibrant yellows, and pastoral greens. Illumination: Ways to Wisdom. Krishna’s teachings unfold in three sections: Thought, Speech, and Action. We explore mental chaos, learn from games and lessons on dharma, and witness Krishna's cosmic form. Experience Design guides us through stark projections, expressive typography, and a meditative audiovisual immersion. Worship: A Story of Shrines. In a gallery resembling a temple hall we hear deep chanting, smell incense, and visit nine forms of Krishna from across India. Each is framed by antique lamps, columns and stone plinths. The journey concludes with reflection, and sharing a symbol of our wishes and hopes. |
