| Description: | The design studio is in a rustic and vibrant building that captures the essence of old Bombay, offering a poetic setting for creative refuge. The large windows and varying ceiling heights frame views of tree canopies and rooftops, creating a sanctuary bathed in natural light. Tactility is central to the design, with raw materials, textures, and forms playing a key role. Cool white walls meet slate-like ebony floors, providing a fitting canvas for our creative endeavors. The previously segmented floor plan was transformed into an open layout, now featuring live-edge workstations. The main floor includes a double-height meeting space, highlighted by the DNA chandelier, crafted in collaboration with MuseLAB alumnus Jeet Soneji. The central workspace culminates in a marble desk nook, with an elliptical wood table by the windows serving as a cozy spot for meals and informal discussions. Our studio is filled with meaningful objects, created in partnership with cherished collaborators, celebrating our craftsmanship and story. A spiral staircase leads to a quieter loft, perfect for deep reflection or a quick power nap. Our belief in the impossible, in mythical things like unicorns, is unwavering. They exist for those who look closely enough—and nothing can convince us otherwise! |
