Description: | Punya (noun) - That which is auspicious, beautiful, good A river runs through the Dehradun valley, surrounded by majestic mountains and lush forests. Our logo captures the environment of the town as well as that of the school – a space that encourages exploration, fosters curiosity and encourages empathy. The essence of Punya is to be open, aware, kind and empathetic to yourself, your environment and to people around you. Punya works around the philosophy of karma: what goes around comes around: our actions, thoughts and deeds inform our decisions. Understanding and practicing Punya is life long and begins in childhood. The core value of the school comes from this simple understanding - you are what you practice / you are what you do. Through Punya, we collectively achieve a deeper understanding of ourselves and our connections to other beings; both living and non-living. Through Punya, we learn to question, be curious, explore and learn holistically. |
